Also on the program is the world premiere “To Be Frank” by Artistic Director Todd Rosenlieb, celebrating Frank Sinatra’s 100th Birthday. Set to some of Sinatra’s most iconic works, this piece captures the energy of the Rat Pack with humor, musicality, and daredevil physicality. The concert also will include a collection of excerpts from dances over the last 10 years.
The 10th Anniversary season, which has been dubbed “TODD x 10,” will include performances in Hampton Roads and North Carolina, highlighted by collaborations with local arts organizations, musicians and designers. “We’re proud and excited to celebrate a decade of high quality, cutting edge dance performances, top-notch dance education and community building through movement,” says Rosenlieb. “At TRDance, we believe that without movement, there is not life and that without dance, there is no community.”
