Todd Rosenlieb is the creative vision of internationally renowned dancer, Todd Rosenlieb, a protege of Erick Hawkins. Rosenlieb became Director of the Erick Hawkins Dance Company after Hawkins' death, and also coached Mikhail Baryshnikov while staging a Hawkins' dance. Since 2004, Todd and the Board of Directors of Todd Rosenlieb Dance have brought nationally and internationally trained choreographers and dancers to Hampton Roads for training, classes, and performances. Our mission is to bring high quality professional dance and education to our community and to preserve the integrity and history of the art form.

Todd Rosenlieb Dance is housed in the TRDance Center, a state-of-the-art new facility located in the heart of downtown Norfolk’s theater district. At the Center, we offer a well-rounded dance education to dancers of all ages. Whether they aspire to a professional career, or simply wish to dance for sheer pleasure, our students expect and benefit from, skilled, dedicated teachers who are committed to the proper training of dancers. Other activities take place at the Center including the dance programs of The Governor's School for the Arts and Tidewater Community College, as well as the TRDance Ensemble, Trademark Competition Team, Pilates @ TRDance, Workshop Theatre Group and the Benjack Studio Theatre.

Todd Rosenlieb Dance has also received rave reviews for the Company's performances. We’ve been an integral part of the Hampton Roads performing arts community with innovative, exciting dance productions. Todd Rosenlieb Dance has also collaborated with other area arts organizations such as the Virginia Opera, the Virginia Symphony, and the Virginia Arts Festival.
