Denise Olivieri, Finance Operations Manager, has a strong background in non-profit performing arts operations. Earlier in her career, she served as Assistant Stage Manager for Louisville Ballet and as Stage Manager for Joffrey Ballet (Chicago). She regularly served as guest stage manager for University of Milwaukee-Wisconsin’s Department of Dance and stage managed three summers of musical theatre at TriArts Sharon Playhouse in the northwest corner of Connecticut.
She returned to Virginia to serve as Production Supervisor for the Entertainment Department at Busch Gardens Williamsburg followed by helping to open the new Forbes Center for the Performing Arts at James Madison University as Assistant Production Coordinator.
A native of Virginia Beach, Denise returned to Hampton Roads to serve as Operations Manager, and subsequently Director of Operations, for the Virginia Symphony after which she took a brief hiatus from the arts to work with the YWCA South Hampton Roads, an organization she continues to support.
She has guest lectured in Stage Management at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, James Madison University, and University of California-Irvine. She is very pleased to join the TRDance family in her return to the dance world. She enjoys arts, crafts, skiing, cooking, reading, theatre, and music. Denise completed an internship in stage management from Actors Theatre of Louisville and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in theatre arts and music from the University of Richmond.
