Amber Romano

Amber Romano trained in classical ballet beginning at age five at various ballet schools in her home state of Rhode Island. She spent summers training at prestigious schools such as Boston Ballet, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, and Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet; and she spent her final years of high school training with internationally renowned teachers Trinidad Vives and Parren Ballard. Upon graduation, she began her professional career with Nashville Ballet in Tennessee. For four years, she had the opportunity to perform with the company in countless productions, her favorites including George Balanchine's Serenade and a demi-soloist role in Waltz of the Flowers in The Nutcracker. In 2016, Todd Rosenlieb met Amber in Nashville and invited her to dance for TRDance and Virginia Ballet Theatre. She is grateful for the many incredible opportunities she has had to perform principal roles with both companies, including her career highlight - the Black Swan Pas de Deux. Ms. Romano first began teaching ballet in Nashville and has found a passion in sharing her experience and love of dance with students of all ages. She was a director of the Virginia Ballet Theatre Ensemble for four years and currently teaches ballet, pointe, and conditioning classes throughout Hampton Roads.
